Every geoscientist was educated somewhere but the geosciences have globally struggled for survival in many educational settings.

The aim of the Geoeducation Special Interest Group is to support, promote and help present materials and advice that enhances the teaching, learning and dissemination of geoscience education from pre-school to U3A.

Geoeducation had early mentions in the newsletter and has always been seen as a vital part of GSNZ values.  If you are interested in assisting in geoeducational issues such as geoheritage, seismology for schools with Auckland University, Geotrips with GNS Science, or even materials for teaching and learning (all levels), please select the Geoeducation SIG on your membership  application.
